We NEED a proper left back who can defend AND attack - why do so many people want him moved to left wing? Converting a defender is not the answer - we need to sign somebody! But he has similar qualities just on a lesser level. He's quick. He can certainly cross a ball. He can beat a man (although he seems reluctant to do so). He's got a good engine on him. I do agree with the post saying Jones plays with the handbrake on. But that doesn't suprise me with the Irvine effect. He needs that handbrake taking off and let him bomb down that left and get crosses into that box and create some chances. Best crosser of a ball at the club IMO.
