  1. Sougou looks to be leaving, no great loss: http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=653602
  2. I have my vouchers, but I won't be able to get to the ticket office before 12/03/13. Can I sort it online or do I need to ring up? My family have all bought separate vouchers, is it possible we can sit together? If I need to ring up, is there a number besides the expensive 0871 one? Thanks!
  3. How have we not sold more tickets for this game? Wednesday have a 100% home league record and are unbeaten at Hillsborough in six months. Dave Jones has transformed Wednesday into a free-flowing, attacking team that has started the season well, sitting sixth after a month. Bolton are an ex Premier League team who, although they haven't started the season brilliantly, have managed to keep the vast majority of their Premier League stars. Bolton have a decent away following, and Owen Coyle is attempting to instill a footballing philosophy there. Most importantly, This game is KIDS FOR A QUID (Under 18s) IN ALL AREAS OF THE GROUND. And yet we've sold less than 20,000 tickets in home areas. Truly bewildering. Get yourselves down to Hillsborough for this one!
  4. Absolutely gutted I missed out, I really wanted to buy this as I'm not sure it's worth £40 a year. Oh well, back to checking SWFC twitter feed for updates on away games...

  6. At the Walsall game at Hillsborough; the man behind me screamed "A bloody blind man could see that ref!" No, Just no.
  7. With James Tavernier leaving Wednesday tomorrow, do you think his loan should be extended or we should attempt to sign him permanently? Or would you rather we look elsewhere for a replacement? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15826455.stm Mandaric stated that Wednesday wish to keep him in this interview: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16290524.stm
  8. You left out Bywater. Also, Megson has stated that he wishes to sign a specialist right midfielder- Michail Antonio from Reading would be my guess- and a replacement for O'Connor. Mandaric also stated that we'd like to extend Tavernier's stay with us.
  9. So after James O'Connor's destination was confirmed as Orlando City, I searched for details on their squad and found a surprising inclusion in their midfield: http://www.orlandocitysoccer.com/team/roster/?player_id=16
  10. Meanwhile, midfielder James O’Connor is leaving the club on January 1 for the USA. His Hillsborough contract runs out at the end of this month so he is to make a fresh start at a US club who have yet to be disclosed. Owls manager is reluctant to lose a player who played in nine wins, two draws and only one defeat in his recent run in the side. It was ended only by a deep gash in his leg suffered in training after last month’s home match against Leyton Orient. The 32-year-old is still on the mend so has played his last match for the club. Megson explained: “I’m really disappointed with James’s decision. James only signed a six-month contract in the summer. I wanted him to stay on and sign for another six months to the end of the season and we’d take it from there. “I spoke to Paul Aldridge [chief executive] and said I wanted him to firm up Danny Batth, Stephen Bywater and Ben Marshall, and firm up James to the end of the season then try to bring in another player on the right-hand side.” O’Connor said: “The problem is that I haven’t been made an offer by the club. From my point of view there’s nothing here for me at Sheffield Wednesday so I’ve got to look elsewhere. “I’m disappointed myself, but such is life. I wish them all the best. It’s a fantastic club; it’s been an absolute privilege to play for them.”
  11. In Gary Megson's programme notes today: "I would like to start these notes by wishing David Kasnik all the best. He has left the club and he is a terrific lad, it was difficult for him to come to a foreign country but he integrated really well with the players and the whole group so we wish him all the best in his future career."
  12. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11719_7093448,00.html Sheffield Wednesday are poised to sign Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines, skysports.com understands. It is believed the South Yorkshire club have already opened talks with the 25-year-old with the aim of bringing him to Hillsborough. Lines trained with Crystal Palace over the summer but the Championship club opted against offering the midfielder a permanent deal. Following the Eagles' decision, new Bristol Rovers boss Paul Buckle stated his belief that Lines could fulfil his potential at the Memorial Stadium. However, it now appears Lines' future lies away from the club, with a move to League One outfit Wednesday looking increasingly likely.
  13. Will add a much-needed voice and leadership skills to the team that was significantly lacking. Speaks volumes of Di Canio to allow such a key member of his squad move to a club who he was treated so badly by. Jones will without doubt be my selection for Club Captain and the astute signings of these will surely be beneficial to the youngsters present in the squad (Coke, Palmer, Beevers, Johnson, Reynolds, Morrison etc.) Nice work Milan, Paul and Gary. Keep it up!
  14. Hey, I'm looking to go to the MK Dons tomorrow with 5 other students and we wish to pay on the day with cash. How do we do this? The new guidelines are confusing and I'd like some clarification please. Thanks
  15. Would love to sign him! Up the bid to around the 250k mark and Motherwell would find it hard to resist! Seems highly rated; Swansea were in for him on deadline day: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/motherwell/8958360.stm However Milan would have to sign someone in the Adam Hammill mould to tempt stay away fans back to Hillsborough. He's 22 and has a 500k release clause in his contract! Make it happen Mr Mandaric!
