To put things in context:

Aiden Flint - 30yo - £4m to Boro

Hector - 27yo - £8m to Fulham (with only 12 months left on a deal)

Pontus Jansson - 28yo - £6m to Brentford

Craig Dawson - 29yo - £6m to Watford

So asking £4-6m would be what the market price is for him.

£2.5m... muppets
