And even if they did own most of the beef farms in the UK I would be surprised if they sold to Aldi, Tesco's et al. Some supermarkets also specify the age of kill which makes a big difference even if from the same source. I always thought the CoOp owned the most farms, mostly tenant farmers leased from the national trust.
