We need good cover that is reliable and has very little injury risk/history. We have some great players on our books already with some long term injuries nearly resolved with a longview on the next 4 months. Why would we possibly want Lambert, or even Adebayor on our books at this stage? No disrespect to those chaps they can chase the overseas dollar if they want to enhance their nest eggs for retirement. Why should we get drained by their wage demands? and we've spent quality money where? FF? the ones we have in the first team squad have been good acquisitions, for so so money... we've not really gone near to throwin' it big... maybe ffp??? i don't know... but to make the step up to serious front runners we need real firepower... for this season it wouldn't surprise me to see loans again... but in the next closed season, we need to bring quality forwards in, AND add to with a loan or two if necessary... it wouldn't hurt to enquire around and 'unsettle' a few we fancy now, with a view of pickin' em up cheaper after they've thrown the ted n' rattle out...
