Kirkland - 7 - One of his better performances - came out for crosses at last

Buxton - 7 - Missed him at right back, some good runs but no support

Gardner - 6 - For a big lad, doesn't win as many headers as he should

Llera - 6 - Not much really - sure that was a goal though that he had - coudn't see from the Kop.

Mattock - 5 - Very poor - got skinned too many times and poor distribution

Antonio - 6 - No options up front for him, easily marked out of game most times

Barkley - 7 - Good performance despite early mistakes

McCabe - 7 - Good again but nothing up front for him to aim for

Semedo - 6 - Very average 2nd half, good first half

Bothroyd - 7 - Good first half, shocking second - hugged that touchline far too often.

COG - 5 - Poor - dissapointed me big time but wasn't given any help at all

Madine - 4 - Offered absolutely nothing

D Jones - Poor tactical decision to play for 0-0 at home. Was obvious we were going to lose it 1-0!

Kirkland - 7 - Not much to do

Buxton - 7 - Good return

Gardner - 7 - Did OK but agree not as commanding in the air as you'd hope.

Llera - 6 - Doesn't look comfortable on the right side.

Mattock - 6 - Reasonable til caught out a couple of times late on

Antonio - 7 - Main attacking threat

Barkley - 6 - Talented but doesn't relish a tackle much for a big lad

McCabe - 7 - Tidy

Semedo - 5 - Still wins the tackles but limited beyond that.

Bothroyd - 7 - Some good touches

COG - 6 - Not his best game but very isolated

Subs came on when game was drifting away. No real impact apart from a couple of JJ flashes
