Trust Wednesday to let us down

Recommended Posts

For the vast majority of the season it's seemed that whenever we've messed up, everyone around us has marched on to three points.

Today's other results have gone just about as well as they could have for us - Huddersfield three up in half an hour, Pigs two up in less, everything going wrong.

And Huddersfield AND the Pigs both throw it away in about as sensational a fashion (with Kuqi nailing it to the Pigs) as you could care to wish for.

And we did NOTHING to capitalise on it.

I'd love to be celebrating getting within two points of 2nd place, but we've not helped ourselves at all with an insipid performance against the team second bottom of the table.

Gutted.

Definitely a missed opportunity, but look at the positives.

We're a point closer to Sheffield United who now have 2 of their regular starters to serve suspensions, and have 3 consecutive (and difficult) away games to play.

Huddersfield have blown yet another lead- they seem to have real mental problems and bringing in Grayson hasn't helped that yet.

All of the chasing pack behind us slipped up as well.

And we've got 2 home games (our definite strong point) in front of our new manager to come over the next 7 days.

Yes, that's the situation with blue and white glasses on...but why look at it any other way?

We got lucky today somebody's got to get 2nd, nobody wants it- might as well be us. Do you think utd and udds fans are piling money on them to go up, doubt it somehow. All to play for, lets try 6 points next week and see where we are then. See you Tuesday night, any win will do.
