loxleyblue
As per Equifax newsletter - Acquire Poor scores for championship clubs:- The Equifax ScoreCheck league table lists over half the clubs as insolvent, including Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City. Scoring at the top with a credit rating of 85 is Plymouth Argle, followed by West Brom on 83 and third Derby County with 61. At the bottom Middlesborough and Blackpool, both scoring zero points. Where are united on that list? 50m in debt and rising every year but never made the list? well thats me convinced.........what a credible source that neglects to mention this little championship club
nebneeb
http://www.equifax.co.uk/About-us/Press_re...AGUE_CLUBS.html According to that 18 out of 24 clubs are below average. Crystal Palace are higher than Coventry, Middlesbrough, and Blackpool, even though they are in Administration. Watford are 6th, even though they almost went into Administration at the end of last year.

Derby: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A62214257 http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/123...ad-up-for-sale/ Just to note i only put derby financial trouble in google. I think you'll find the original Daily Mirror article alleging all this was removed when General Sports and Entertainment, the US company that runs Derby for a group investors, rubbished it. Far enough. I'm still very suprised they are 3rd in the table.

HarrowbyOwl
Also just found this : http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/sport/Ma...il/article.html Your definately right, but 15mil debt still isnt great. Here's the rebuttal I saw from the club: http://www.therams.co.uk/news/Glick-says-a...il/article.html It kind of interesting what's going on at Derby. Their ownership/management model, with US based General Sports and Entertainment LLC running the show on behalf of wealthy US and Canadian Investors, looks similar to what we could be looking at with Club 9 Sports. One of the Club 9 guys, Jon Pritchett, was CEO of General Sports Venue, LLC, part of General Sports and Entertainment, when they took over at Derby in 2008 . The difference seems to be that Club 9 plan to leave LS and NP in charge as Chairman and CEO. At Derby Andy Appleby and Tom Glick of GSE took over those roles.
