Can you name this ex SWFC player

This a question for Wednesday stalwarts from late 80s to early 90s.

Clues

Product of youth system.

Made 1 substitute appearance in league.

Played in a early fa cup round game.

Was a prolific scorer from being with young owls at under 12s.

Sold to a regional non league club. After impressing there he moved to a nearby league team and was very successful. Infact there fans still talk about him.

If anyone wants more clues I can provide you with them.

Last clue until anyone requests one. He is 3 years younger than Jon newsome. But played regularly together in reserve games and northern intermediate league before hand

Thought nobody would get it.

He was very unlucky not to make it at Wednesday.

What messed things up for him was he was so strong tall and athletic from 10 years old and up until every one caught up at 18 to 20 he never had the chance to improve his football skills like passing and dribbling. He simply was so strong he didn't ever need to in a game.

I think that when the playing field levelled out he then had to learn skills at a much older age than others.

He was incredibly fast. At 14 he did 100m in 12 seconds on grass in trainers.

Wr also had jon newsome at our comp although he was 3 years older. Most people thought Leroy was more likely to succeed than jon. Jon was 6foot2 at 13 or 14 so you could not miss him.

Leroy brother Wayne was also a good football player and in same year as jon. Wayne never took it up.

Leroy went to non league after being released at 18 from Wednesday. At around 20 he played in division 3 and 4 for Chester and Macclesfield. Scored loads of goals and became a cult hero for Macclesfield particularly.

Not so what he does now.

If you read this Leroy get in touch mate
