Is it our shirts those blue n white stripes It could be our players who never say die Maybe our class and the style which we play Or an overpriced Bovril on a cold winters day Is it our ground so rich in tradition The league that we play in, our current position It could be our heroes of now and the past A captain or striker a winger lightening fast It could be the banter with the red half of town Or the miles that are clocked to distant away grounds Maybe our DJ, I remember Stevie Splash It could be a league game or an FA Cup clash It simply might be they’re our local club A quick fire decision whilst sat in the pub A family member may have dragged you along Or the noise of the kop as they chanted their song The truth is, I say, there’s only one reason Why I follow my club season on season It was’nt my choice, I’m one of the few You don’t choose Sheffield Wednesday… ..Sheffield Wednesday choose’s you !
