BRADDAZ
http://www.footballgroundguide.com/crystal_palace/ "The nearest railway stations are Selhurst or Thornton Heath which are served by London Victoria main line station, Clapham Junction, London Bridge (every 30 mins) and East Croydon (every 15 mins). You can also use Norwood Junction station which is also served by Victoria, but is a little further away. It is then a 10-15 minute walk to ground. Please note that Crystal Palace station is nowhere near the ground" Edited August 27, 2012 by BRADDAZ
FAT OWL
Thornton Heath is the best bet and there's a Wetherspoons, the Flora Sandes, almost opposite.
London Owl
Prince George if coming from Thornton Heath. Wednesday always had good day in there
Guest PointlessOwl
Do you know if there is a bus/tube from Palace to the ground?
BRADDAZ
Just get a taxi from Palace to Selhurst. It's only 2.5m away. About 8 mins in a car. Depending on how many there are of you, it will probably work out the same of not cheaper than getting public transport from that sort of a distance. Sorry to disagree with you here mate but there's no point doing this, all three stations of Selhurst, Norwood Jctn and Thornton Heath are well within a mile radius of the stadium. 10 minute walk easily. Thornton Heath and Selhurst are both served by both London Bridge and Victoria, Victoria train is a little quicker AND they are both on the same line, with Thornton Heath being the earlier stop. Norwood Junction is served by London Bridge and is a 20 minute train. You can get the overground line to Norwood Junction as well after getting the jubilee line to Canada Water but this will add approximately 15-20 minutes to your journey. Best two choices in this case are Thornton & Norwood. Edited August 27, 2012 by i gufi
