g-owls Posted July 21, 2012 Share Posted July 21, 2012 Yesterday an old friend showed me an original programme from a game played on Saturday September 1st 1900 at Owlerton between Wednesday Reserves and Gainsborough Trinity Reserves. The date was also the first game of the season for both the first team and reserves (First team were away at Manchester City). Now, I'm led to believe that this season was also the first time that match programmes were produced by Wednesday for either first team or reserve games. So the question is, does my mate own a copy of the first ever match programme produced for a home game involving a side representing Wednesday? For the record he bought it a few years ago for £10.
