Guest arobert
There has been much talk this week that if Manchester City had won on Monday night they would have been top of the top tier at Christmas for the first time since 1929. But the team lying in second place stormed to take the title with an amazing 10 point gap on their Manchester rivals. It may seem incredible now but that team was of course Shefield Wednesday. Interestingly they lost only 8 games in the whole season. Now Irvine has lost eight games already by Christmas - in my view he should be a very nervous man indeed.
