I've been watching Wenesday since about 1942 and the hardest player I've ever seen in a Wednesday shirt was a wing half called Gerald Henry.Wednesday played Bradford City in a cup match and he kicked the Wednesday players all over the pitch.The following week Wednesday bought him.If any opposition player fouled a Wednesday player Gerald would sort him out.I don't think he would have stayed on the pitch more than ten minutes under today's rules.

I nominate the Wednesday team that was managed by Harry Catterick.They were the best Wednesday team that I've ever seen and I've been supporting Wednesday since the early nineteen forties.

I think that number 6 is Tommy Ward He was an inside forward/centre forward.I saw him play several times in the forties.
