New Songs for Players

When I was young we seemed to have a song for every single member of the first team. And although it has got better recently, we are still lacking good songs for a few of our players.

Let me start with JJ. I have heard us recently sing the Deon Burton song for JJ...the one that goes "duh duh duh duh Jermaine Johnson". For me this doesn't fit as well as Deon and I always find myself subconsiously singing "Deon Burton" at the end of it anyway.

We should sing this...to the tune of "We do what we want"

He's faster than Bolt

Jermaine Johnson

He's faster than Bolt!

There's an obvious link there as they are both Jamaican and it's also tounge in cheek as while JJ may be quick he obviously isn't quicker than Bolt!

Now I've yet to hear a song for Chris Maguire, so what I propose to the tune of Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon is...

Wooooooahhhhh this kid is on fire

Wooooooahhhhh his name's Chris Maguire

I'll throw them out there for starters. I'm working on a song for Chris Lines and Joe Mattock...the days obviously fly by in my house :staton:
