owl-zat
Here's a heartwarming story for all Wednesdayite's Once upon a time, back in the dark days of 1975 / 76 Wednesday were having an awful time. Towards the end of the season we had a midweek game at home to Chesterfield, turned in an absolute shocking performance and lost 1-3 which left us in 23rd place in Division 3 and relegation to the 4th division looks inevitable. The following Saturday we were at home to Colchester, the 1st of 5 remaining home games. It was a crappy scrappy game played in front of our lowest post-war league crowd but towards the end we scored a lucky deflected goal, won 1-0 and went on to win our remaining home games to avoid relegation and we all lived happily ever after (sort of). So the moral of the story is .............. history always repeats itself (hopefully) W.T.I.D owl-zat Edited March 31, 2011 by owl-zat
owl-zat
That's two home wins from two with 3 games left. History is indeed repeating itself at the moment and long may it continue
