Megson states the bleeding obvious

Recommended Posts

"We didn't have an outlet, either down the sides or into feet"

gary megson's own words after the game.

I wonder why Gary?

Is it because you possibly played a central midfielder on the right wing and a right footed player with no pace on the left wing?

Why didn't Johnson start? He'd have offered an outlet without doubt.

Daniel Jones on the left? He's left footed for a start and can at least get over a cross.

The only striker we've got who's shown he can drop deep and play in others is Heffernan, yet you only gave him an hour, an hour spent trying to win headers against a big centre half. The reason why? Possibly as we had no width down either flank. The result, a congested midfield and route one football.

Blame the players all you like, but that team selection last night was shocking.
