Barry Butler 1953/5

I assume not many on here will remember seeing this player ?  Came across these cards recently, I had never heard of him but looking him up he played 36 games for Wednesday in 1953-1955

 

 

He went on to play over 300 games for Norwich and took part in their great FA Cup run in 1958/9 (reached semi final as a 3rd Division team)  there is a great film of it here including knocking out United on here. A league cup winner with Norwich

He was unfortunately killed in a car crash on this day 9th April in 1966. Norwich's player of the year trophy is still named after him "The Barry Butler Memorial Trophy"
