Guest owl from retford
since Bothroyd has joined we seemed to have adopted a long ball approach rather then the passing style that we was playing start of season againest birmingham was the best first half we played in ages . We need to get the ball down and play to are strenghs jj and antoino proberly quickest wingers in the league let them run at the opposition and take much needed pressure off the back four semedo can sit just behind barkley allowing him to push on behind the attackers ? so something like this kirkland buxton taylor gardner r.johnson semedo jj antonio barkley bothroyd rodri or somebody else instead of rodri ? what do people think ? Guest Bedders
Said before in post what's point of having two ball playing midfielders (if you are going to drop Semedo), & then punt it up from the back. There is a big difference between a cultured long ball to feet the likes that Sheridan, Waddle & sometimes the odd Lllera pass manage to pull off, than an aimless 'PUNT' up the pitch. PUNTING invites pressure back on & negates the midfield most of the time!
