swfcGibbo
I expected over 30 thousand for this. Usually people start snapping them up by the end of the week.
Owls2k
The fact they are the same price on the gate means more people than usual will pay on the gate.

lee81
I managed to get eight all on the same row, in the middle of the north stand today. No more than 25000 I reckon.

Guest royston figgis
Not sure whether it includes ST's or not but the OS is telling people to hurry up as tickets are going fast and even mentions the possibility of a sell-out. If this is true, great, if it isn't true, still great as it means the club are learning about marketing! 1300 tickets given to current AND FORMER corporate clients, another good move. 2000 tickets for local kids, at last. We, the fans, now have to keep the ball rolling by encouraging others to come. The target has got to be the divisions biggest crowd and anything over 32,000 will mean that, just like last season we will have had the biggest crowd in Sheffield. The Blunts can't even say that it's only because it was cheap because that's the only reason they are getting good crowds! The tide is turning folks, come on down! What's the obsession with the crowds; you either go or you don't go.Whether there's thirty thousand, or 13,000.We're all Wednesday, aren't we? swfcGibbo
26k+ will be a massive achievement taking into account the attendances before Xmas. We got 25 thousand against Blackpool and that was a quid a kid. These deals for me are argueably better as its a tenner for Adults. With the new Chairman and such id expect 30k, taking into account the free tickets given away. Personally, I'd love to see a big crowd as a sort of thankyou to Lee Strafford for all he's done these last few weeks. And to send out a message to any investors that we still have fans who give a poo poo.

WadsleyOwl
If the figure includes season ticket holders then sales are wee wee poor for a game this cheap. I must admit I would have thought more would have been sold BUT !!..................It's only Tuesday, 3 more days of sales plus pay on the day, I reckon 30k+
Moz
Remember that it isn't like a concert where all the tickets are purchased at the beggining - the biggest selling days are going to be Thursday, Friday and Saturday. To put this "does that include the ST holder" to bed, if it didn't include them, we would have over 33000 seats filled. take out the 3000 tickets for away fans, we would have already sold out. Guest S13OWL
Use your common sense those who are saying that there will only be 25/26k! At least 23,300 were sold by 5PM YESTERDAY. That means taking away the free tickets, we've sold around 8-9000 extra which isn't bad considering there are still 4 more days of trading before the game and this is the period where most people generally buy tickets. We will sell at least 1k per day for each of these 4 days and then more on the gate should the game have not sold out ... 28/29k minimum.

True - taking into account the capacities listed on the OS there are seats for 31,819 home fans South - 11,354 North - 9,255 Kop - 11,210 11,500 ST holders and 20,000 tickets sold = 31,500, plus the 1,300 free corporate tickets means it would have already sold out. In his statement on the OS Lee says he is expecting the largest crowd at Hillsborough this season, which puts it over 30,441 that we got for the pigs game.
