Posted on: Fri 09 Jan 2009

SWFCSheffield Wednesday are pleased to announce that discounted tickets for the game against Charlton Athletic will be available on the day of the match.

Tickets for the game against the Addicks on Saturday, January 17, have already been reduced to £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and these will now be available to buy at the turnstiles on the day of the game.

Furthermore, the Owls' matchday ticket pricing for the remainder of the season will be significantly reduced. The final details of this are currently being finalised and a further announcement will be made on January 19.

In the mean time, tickets for the forthcoming home matches against Birmingham City on January 31 and Barnsley on February 3 have been withdrawn from sale until after the Charlton match.

Those supporters who have already bought tickets for these matches will be issued with new tickets and refunded the difference appropriately after January 19.

Details of new offers for season ticket holders will also be announced after the Charlton match.

Though I'm a season ticket holder and feel a little hard done by I'm still in favour of this decision.

I've got a number of friends who have been following Wednesday for years but have not been able to afford season tickets this season and have only been to the odd game this season but now they'll be able to return for remainder of the season.
