WOO THE OLD FANS BACK WITH THEIR KIDS

During the 80's and 90,s I was a season ticket holder and part of a thirty strong group that rarely missed a game. We need wooing back by a dedicated and committed board.

Remember the old faithful of the 80's and 90's all have children now, I myself have 4 of which 3 are of the right age and would love to go to matches on a regular basis. Unfotunately £100 a game is more than I can afford and the politics and petty squabbling have made me lose interest.

We need youth at Hillsborough!! They shout louder! They sing stronger and they are the future of the clubs support!!! And remember who it is that takes them to the games and pays for their tickets, food, programmes and merchandise!!

A political party invests heavily in the last few weeks of a campaign! It hits the streets and woo's the people back by meeting with them and showing it cares! Elections can be won or lost in the last few weeks of a campaign! When was the last time any member of our board went out to talk to the people of Sheffield without complaining or defending themselves.

Stop involving the fans in the politics of the running of the club! A board of directors of a successful company doesn't get into a slanging match with its employees over the running of the business, it gains their respect, it supports and manages its staff effectively.

The first steps have been taken to bridge the gaps and heal the wounds, forget about takeovers, they will come when the club is moving in the right direction with a solid fan base!

The fans are still out there (remember Cardiff???) You can't rely on success and premiership football to bring them back to the terraces, their needs to be effective and prolonged advertising and marketing campaigns that reach the masses.

We feel like we've been forgotten, we're not cared about and every now and again someone goes on the radio and tells us we should support our team regardless of the cost. That doesn't make us want to come back and it certainly doesn't make us want to bring our kids!!!

CLIMB OUT OF YOUR IVORY TOWERS, FIND US, TELL US YOU STILL CARE ABOUT WHAT WE THINK AND ATTRACT US BACK WITH CONCESSIONS AND OFFERS!! ITS THAT SIMPLE!!!!

Unfortunately our well run club have so much money that they don't need yours or mine. I have a simular situation, I would like to go, so would my two kids, but to take them costs over £50 just for the 3 tickets. Maybe one day they will come to their sense's, and realise that today's youngsters should be let in for a minimal fee, but don't hold your breath.

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

Loads of fans won't be back for a while, even if they knock £2 off a ticket or whatever. Reasons why - OAC card, ID Card, no away season tickets, photo's, abusing fans, (venomous *****) suing fans, excessive security (rude chuffs from Darlington), average football, credit crunch, and no leadership on or off the pitch.

I have a 100 mile journey on match days, with the 2 kids coming along, programmes , food and drinks it costs a fortune, only been attending a few matches per season as its all I can afford, so far this season I've been to none and it kills me every saturday that I have to sit and listen to commentary on the tinterweb when I should be there being part of the atmosphere.

It's definatly too expensive - I only live in Bradford but still costs me in excess of £50 for travel ticket programme food etc... Each game!

Thats IF I pay Adult prices, even with Concession prices it's still £40 a game!

This is taken from "The political economy of football"

Surely our well run club could learn something from this?

The Baggies cut season tickets by 11 per cent after promotion last season, following a 20 per cut the previous season. That makes season tickes at The Hawthorns almost a third cheaper when the club was last in the Premiership. As a result, there have been capacity crowds at all three home games so far.

I just don't get the mentality of these people! If they are so out of touch with reality, what the hell are they doing at the helm of our great club!

My grandad never missed a game unless he was on his death bed, same with my dad and his 2 brothers. Up until 7 years ago neither did I, but this shower of sh1ts have broken a family tradition and have deprived my kids of the joys of being a wednesdayite.

It wouldn't suprise me if they are the ones prolonging the GS farce to keep the heat of them!!

What have we turned into?? Sheffield was once a great city of strong willed working class people! While the rest of the country followed each other like sheep, we were standing up for our rights and championing our causes. (maybe ranting a bit too much now)

Our forefathers would turn in their graves if they could see what we have allowed to happen to Hillsborough!

Up the Revolution!!! Up the Owls!!!
