If you really can’t see the difference in the 2 then you’re beyond hope pal. I ain’t gonna spend time explaining.

I can understand if you don't agree with me but at least back up your own argument.

Or you can run away and pretend it's someone else's fault.

If your favourite pub started serving shìt beer would you keep buying it and how long for ?

Yes.

Forever as long as it remained the same pub, same clientele, same atmosphere, same good times.

The beer is annoying but overall, it's still my favourite pub.

He made assumptions about me and my motives. I think he's old enough to also make his own statements on his mental health, coming in and throwing that about is incredibly crass, we don't need to weaponise mental health like that to shut down discussion. If he can rant on about things that have no relevance to me, make assumptions, go on about fans being 'slagged' off then he should also be able to consider others views on going or not going to the game.

I'm not going out of principle, it's more important to me the owner leaves and this is the first time in 4 years I've lived closed enough to actually go to games week in week out. We have different views and that's fine, but whats not fine is throwing in the mental health card like you have, whats also not fine is dreaming up scenarios about other posters to fit one's own rhetoric. Thats what is dividing the fan base more.

Look if you've been living abroad or working weekends you won't be in the habit of going so far, far easier to not bother than some who who go and have gone week in, week out for years.

That's just not the same unfortunately pubs come and go with the times.

Your football club is your football club no matter what.

My stance has Been  the same since the Covid season ,where I was forced to do something I never ,ever thought I would ever do. I had to take legal action through the small claims court to get my ST refund because Chancer wouldn't return what he legally owed me.

A ST holder for 40 years before that ,I havnt bought one since and will not give him another penny. I will return when he has gone. Until then , I am still getting my footie fix by watching Stocksbridge Park Steels home games ,and putting much needed money into my local club.

Chansiri can feck off.

Until I see the price of them, I cannot say for definite.

I don't like Chansiri and want him out of our club,  I really do.  But deep down, I can't see him leaving because season ticket holders don't renew.  He doesn't even want season tickets to exist.  He wants everyone to pay for each game. It's only because people in the club explained about the deep tradition of season tickets that we still have them.

The thing is, I really love watching Wednesday, both in the good times and bad.  I don't want to watch another team on a Saturday like others have suggested.  I don't get excited by watching a non league or premier league team who I have no affiliation, love or memories with. I want to watch the owls in whatever league they are in.  I want to travel up and down the country watching and supporting us, not anyone else.

I get the fact that people won't renew and hats off to them if that's what they want to do.  I know that they also love Wednesday, but I personally would find it very hard to walk away and not watch us week in, week out, just because of a two hat of a chairman. So if I can afford it and I don't feel ripped off, I will renew, even if he is still here.

What really needs to happen is that everyone who is p*ssed off at Chansiri, needs to turn up at the South Stand directors entrance the next time he is in town and show him directly that we don't want him here. If you haven't got a ticket, stay outside the entrance all game and when he comes out for a fag, make his smoke miserable.  After the game, again protest and chant. Not renewing won't show him that, not paying on the day will show him that.  His narcistic tendancies will show ticket sales down due to us being fairweather fans and being bottom of the league, not the fact he is a two hat.

We need to mobilise as a fan base and demonstrate the next time he is at Hillsborough.

I really wish everyone who says the fans are the problem would read this.

I get that, I really do.

But when you get someone as bull headed as DC running the show it only ends in one place.

Sad times and no easy solution.

The 8 year old won’t give a Shiite about DC or the issues. What he will do is lose interest in football as a result and you will regret it down the line.

Not much chance of that.

Thank you for the advice, but I know my son better than you.

I also know the morals my kids are being brought up by and that’s much more important to me than missing a bit of football.

If me grandkids still loved the bouncy castle in the beer garden and all me family and friends still went in...I'd still go in and have a lager...
