Taking the positives

Recommended Posts

(a) We are getting to be as formidable as the Germans when it comes to penalty shootouts and (b) we always used to be the ones who got sucker-punched right at the death, but now we're establishing ourselves as the comeback kings with last-ditch equalisers & winners deep into time added on.

It can see it being a long, hard, nerve-wracking and frustrating season though if these first two games are owt to go by. So strap yourself in for the bumpy ride if you haven't already!

It turned out positive and you’ve got 5 different scorers last night too.

It wasn’t great but I much preferred the fact that we had a go. I don’t want to see us use the tactics we did against Southampton.

I just wish he’d give the 3-5-2 formation a go.

Another injury time goal (thats 3 in our last 4 games now) certainly indicates this is a resilient group of players.

Another penalty shootout win scoring all our penalties.

Another much needed game to help bed in the new approach and players.

An apparently confident keeper with good distribution saving 2 of  the 3 penalties he faced.

No. Obviously it's not desperate.

It would just be a great confidence booster for the lads.

You are correct not in desperate stakes yet butthe quicker you win a game the better and team looked as though lacked confidence against Sothampton.
