It’s promotion or bust this season. Whether top 2 or playoffs I don’t care. But as we all know it’s a lottery in the playoff and the most heartbreaking way to fail.

Our standard need to be higher need to explain this to players and management

Yes this season standards and expectations are high. Wednesdayites have been very patient, but now promotion is the minimum we will accept and its Automatic we want! Are we wrong to feel this way?? I think not!

We are realistic to demand Automatic Promotion with the club and squad we have. And we are right not to accept the status quo.

Stats will not pacify Wednesdayites. I don't dismiss them but our standards are even higher than them! Admittedly I quote stats sometimes, they are a great motivator and they support arguments. But spectators are more credible than stats! We are witnesses and we're not daft!

We have some of the best supporters and I want the team to reflect our great club!

Results have been just okay, but performances are not fillings us with confidence that we will get what we want: PROMOTION! Okay is not good enough and yes we EXPECT and demand better! Standards need to be high for promotion, what is wrong with that?? Draws and losses in important matches are not good enough.

Would supporters at clubs with simular potential to ours put up with low level football for so long?

That said, we have vital players coming back now and we have some big games coming up, so there's a chance for Moore and the players to make or break this season.

A change in management is too risky now, unless someone with great credentials comes available. So please Wednesdayites keep backing the players and Moore for now.

Wednesdayites are not settling for okay anymore! Keep expectations high, keep supporting the team and stay positive, we will have promotion this season!

No!!!!!!

How can anyone's expectations be too high? surely we want to be as successful as possible? Why anyone would settle for second best I really don't understand.

After all the years of serial failure due to not having solid foundations put in place then I’ll happily settle for someone to be given the necessary time to do this necessity first. Only then will we stand a realistic chance of sustained progression and hopefully success.

It's reasonable to expect promotion from this league.

It's not reasonable to expect champagne football every week, rolling teams over (although I accept, as do the players and manager it seems that we've fallen below expected performance levels of late).

Doesnt work that way Jim,where have you been??...we dont have players coming through the ranks that cost us nowt, and that go on to play for us,or make us a few bob..(in the main,).

Its about bringing in 'free's' & bargain basement  end of contract players, decent loan players& than getting the best out of them, with a systym that suits....

Are we doing that?...Mighten,Wilks,Smith.......all players who have scored goals at this level for other Clubs....Wing the same last Year.....

Whats the common denominator?.......

What we got going for us,is our ability to pay higher wages,so of course 'free's' never are free are they?....

If we dont get promotion players will come and go,to be replaced by players probably not as good and our chances of promotion will wither on the vine..

Happened to Sunderland didnt it?...Ditto Dem Blades.....(and others)

You think the Chairman will change?...

Is it too much to expect 100% effort for 90 minutes a week?

Or is 20 minutes good enough for some people.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

If this team was as hard working or organised as some teams we've played this season, they would win most games and we wouldn't be having these threads.

It's no coincidence that our best run of this and last season was in an 'injury crisis' where we had to rely on pressing and workrate by 'not proper footballers' and 'binmen' to win games.

And win they did.

And when they did lose, v Rotherham, they were applauded off the pitch as they'd given 100% and the fans couldn't ask for more.

I think he already has, Jack. He has stayed in the background virtually since the day Moore was appointed.

I think the penny has finally dropped and we’re on a journey where things are and will be put in place to serve us both in the present and in the future.

Regardless of popular opinion on here, I believe Moore is going to get the time to build the club. If the fans aren’t happy then fair enough. They never are at the best of times so it doesn’t make any difference, does it,

Stopped reading after that

As your logo indicates you like 'Soul'  Todays piece of trivia Dave Godin a good friend of mine, credited with inventing the term 'Northern Soul' & owner of the Deep Soul label RIP....contempory of Mick Jagger...Used to buy & sell/play Motown * 'soul' in London...50s 60s onward Dave came to Sheffield to do a media studies degree,& whilst here promoted 'You make me feel mighty real' by the late great Sylvester to no 1 in he UK..Berry Gordy sent him the promo disc Dave told him for the UK market to flip the US side and use the B side for the UK....

Rest is history.....When Dave went to Detroit Gordy brought out the entire Motown stable to welcome, and thank him..Marvin Gaye, the lot....

Now to footy, the ONLY stat that will matter this season,is who finishs first, and second.....

Play Offs are a poor consolation, and for 3 out of the 4 abject misery(again)
