Most frustrating player?

Recommended Posts

Who do you think?

Has to be Bakinson, for me.

I genuinely think he could be a seriously good player if he really wanted it. As it stands, it's as though he wants to do something else for a living. The last few times I've seen him, it's been like watching someone that's playing out the last few games of the season with a mid-table finish confirmed. He might be there physically, but his heads on the beach.

Iorfa is very similar. Loads of potential, but lapses in concentration and bits of laziness/over-confidence (perhaps) let him down.

Shame really.

Bakinson has that languid style where he can look a little disinterested, does have quality he’s a strange player can look good or look poor so quickly . Think in a 3 with Byers and bannan he will look better . Doesn’t seem the personality to grab a game on his own , does have some nice touches but equally gives it away a fair bit.

Windass for me .
has ability to do a lot more but so infuriating. Often where the play isn’t . Runs into no man’s land / . Doesn’t seem to provide much in a game and his accuracy is poor

Bakinson is a confidence player for me.If you recall his best performances its been when there has been no extra ask on him, just relax and play with freedom.

He would often be on the half turn and look for positive transition passes. more recently the ask has been be more defensive and keep possession .

We are missing Hennighan in more ways  than is at first obvious.

I just don’t think Bakinson is that good. Iorfa is all pace but no ability.

Windass is the one he has the attributes but no set position and doesn’t put the effort in half the time.

Pato is rubbish but if all our players put his amount of effort in we’d be clear at the top.

To be fair to some players, they are playing in positions unfamiliar to them. Windass is not a number 10 and should be played as s striker, Iorfa is not a right wing back but has been played there, we have yet to discover where Wilks might play. The most gifted young player Dele has often been played as a defensive midfielder.  The balance of the team is never settled and partly that is sue to injuries but also selection. That to me is the most frustrating aspect of games like yesterday, not individual players

Windass obviously.

Way too greedy, dreadful finisher and (not his fault) is preferred in a position for which he’s totally unsuited.

What is his his preferred position? If playing up front he drops into midfield, if picked in centre midfield he wanders out wide and if he starts out wide he disappears. Most of the time he just gets in someone else’s way

It feels a bit harsh singling out players for criticism, but at matches, it's the likes of Wilks, Paterson and Johnson who've given me the most head-in-hands moments this season, as they seem to be really erratic in possession and lose the ball almost as often as they find a teammate.

I think I tend to get frustrated by players who lose the ball or who struggle to find a teammate with their passes, so I generally don't find Windass that frustrating compared to some on here. To me, even when he's going through a patch of poor form, he's still a technically sound player who retains possession and looks to help build attacks for the team.

Bakinson, I can definitely see it in some games, though - he does seem to have some absolute stinkers when he can't pick out a Wednesday shirt for love nor money.

Well, I wouldn’t have him in the team. As a sub, he has proved quite successful dreadful as a starter.

I quite like Johnson tbh . Think he’s always been a good outlet on the left . Thought he was ok yesterday too . Last season better than this but when we get more control in midfield with baz n byers we will start to see his game improve .

I’ve never noticed any lack of effort of application personally
