Port Vale coming in big numbers

Recommended Posts

Port Vale are on course for their biggest away following of the season after fans snapped up tickets for their game at Sheffield Wednesday on Thursday December 29.

The club has already sold around 2,400 tickets for the game and, having had its allocation increased to around 3,200, believes it can top the 2,700 who followed the team to Derby in October.

Chief executive Colin Garlick said: “Sales are going really well. We had an original allocation but then that was topped up, making it to just under 3,200. We have about 800 left so it is a really good showing and there is time between now and the game.

Most shutdowns are letting workers use the Sunday Xmas day bank holiday as the Friday.

I reckon they may sell more

Never in my life have I seen as much police as they were at port Vale for a fairly low crowd. They had about 12 snarling dogs riot gear horses the the lot for our visit. So I'm guessing port Vale are a tasty bunch .

From the away end. We don’t have an atmosphere in the home end anymore 😂

Port Vale will be like Mansfield. Away fans from a nasty, rough little town that they're delighted to escape from for a few hours will be treating it like a cup final, making a lot of noise backing their team, and taking the mick out of Wednesday with the same boring old "is this a library" and "shall we sing a song for you" etc.

Meanwhile, Wednesday fans have a home game against Port Vale.

I think it was to protect the PV fans from our north stand pointers...scary being pointed at.
