Holmowl
First half we nullified Exeter’s threat. (can’t believe I’ve written that) Second half we were second best. 4

Second half, we were really poor for the most part.

heard that pardon
So why was the Exeter's local radio station saying Blackman was the busier of the two keepers after the game finished.

paulrs
Ha! What rubbish. Two mediocre teams on the day, us a bit better in the first half them a bit better in the second. Nobody totally outplayed anybody that’s for sure.
alan48
Thought we were totally outplayed second half and were lucky to get away with a draw .
Lombardo
I think they played out of their skins to stop us playing. That was a good draw for their cup final Their commentary team in iPlayer were very happy. If their reward for the season is top 10 they will be delighted. We would be disappointed for top 10 in the champ.

Popular Post Chris Apolon
I took my daughter to her first ever Wednesday game yesterday and she went bananas at the goal. That was the highlight. I've lived in Exeter many years and they're no mugs. They play fast counter attacking football and score a lot of goals. This would explain why, tactically, we sat so deep and refused to press in midfield. I would say all exeters chances came from defensive mistakes but we allowed them to control midfield whilst we sat back. With the frailties we have at the back at present this was a mistake We were godawful in the 2nd half, FDB was tosh, bakinson I think was playing for them the amount of times he was passing to them, smith was stroppy and windass was wild not in a good way We slightly improved when palmer finally moved to right back and he should have had a penalty and when we started going direct. On the whole, whilst we were okay in thr first half, exeter were the better team overall and whilst individual performances weren't great I think tactically we made the wrong call in sitting deep AND passing it around the back. We set up not to concede. And looked a bit directionless when we did.

prowl
We shaded the first half, probably created more than Exeter but I wouldn't say we were on top. At half time I expected us to come out in the second half and take control, we didn't. That second half performance was as bad as I've seen from us this season. We were dreadful, we couldn't get out from the back because they pressed our defence and caused them to panic. Our passing generally was poor, we never got after Exeter. Thankfully we got a goal at the death that was totally against the run of play. Exeter must be gutted. Moore came out with platitudes in his press conference about a battling display and never giving up. Total rubbish, we were very poor and very lucky to get the point. We are missing Byers, if Bannan is now out, I can see the wheels coming off for a few games. 5 1
