...then it says something about the belief and spirit of our squad.

Now, if we can just avoid another performance like that second half again for the rest of the season...

:duntmatter:

Luck runs out.......BB injured now,& Patterson may leave in Jan......Smith,Windass,Gregory,largely blank firing..........whats going on???

You can also look at today and last Saturday as a missed opportunity.  We had the chance to hit the heights and turn the screw on Plymouth and Ipswich.

Whilst we are still very much in the hunt for automatic promotion, we really don’t help ourselves!

Unfortunately, we also believe we can play out from the back..... 😂

I do think there's a tendency among parts of the fanbase to only see the downsides of playing out from the back, but there does come a time when it's clearly not working in a given game and you have to adopt a different approach, doesn't there?

We nearly got caught out a few more times this afternoon, and we were hardly seeing any of the upsides to such an approach, either.

It does show character, however shouldn't need so much character and still points dropped.

While performances were tolerated when we were winning, now come into sharp focus. We can't afford to keep playing badly, last minute equalisers or not.

When any tactic isn't working it would seem sensible to try something else. We got caught on the ball so often today or were forced into playing a hurried ball right at their player that it was almost comical.

Against some teams playing out works, often it doesn't. We either need better ball players at the back or players who can spot the press coming and get a quick upfield pass away. At present too many panic.

Making the same mistake over and over again is stupid.

We are playing a system which relies on the wing backs to get forward

Today our wing backs hardly got out of our own half and that has been the case for most of the season

Although one of our wing backs can claim an assist for their goal

If the wing backs don’t get forward, no crosses come into the box and subsequently our expensive centre forwards have little or no service

The other major issue is tempo. Again today it’s all done at walking pace. Vaulks doesn’t want to go forward. He spends his game passing backwards and side wards. Fizz only comes alive for 15 mins a game

Moore has to get so much more out of the tools he has at his disposal because at the moment we are massively underperforming

It does..as the players have confidence that they are playing teams with little real quality compared to the players brought in by DC ‘s wages and DM’s judgement of getting Championship standard players. The main snag is that there are too many players expecting to start and we are overloaded in some positions because of our desire to man up with enough players to see us through injury problems w/o anxiety. DM is a lucky manager from that point of view.

we have been awful all season i posted this earlier . the football is beyond shocking ive travelled up and down the country to watch this garbage all season. lucky me gave this 500 plus mile trip a miss . fancy going all that way to watch that . i doubt we would have beaten a national league north team today . we wont get top 2 playing like this we might only scape top 6 if this dreadful football continues derby portsmouth barnsley etc will catch us . like many ive said d moore wont take us up this season. we all know we will get someone like peterborough in a playoff semi and we will fail . i also think it just aint the manager , most of our players are overrated . only bannan and paterson seem to care
