I'm happy with a point

Recommended Posts

I'll take the point, and also your point about key players out.

I think most people grumbling today will be all mentioning the same points though about abject performances, lack of attacking intent, players in strange positions etc.

A point isn't wrist slitting territory, especially against Derby, but ......but.   There are just some big "buts" to think on.

Think most are happy with a point away from home, but were just frustrated at the performance. Then again derby were equally crap. It was just a boring game of football overall wasn't it.

Move on to next week, we're in a good position with a long way to go. Last season was far more frustrating than this let's be honest.

Anyone who thinks that wasn’t a decent point then they’re off the head and let’s face it, most are on here 🤣

Seriously we’ve gained ground on Plymouth and kept Derby at arms length. Yes, Barnsley are creeping up on us but I think we’ll keep them at bay. On to Exeter next Saturday, with one or two key players back, we hopefully will get the win. As I keep saying, we’ll be fine but it suits the narrative of some to keep thinking everything will turn to sh!t.

A little bit of effort over a ten minute period with the right tactics, and we could have had a couple at least.

Poor tactics today..... Playing safe when you need to win to get more points than the other side.... He bottled it

What are the right tactics we should have employed over a ten minute period? What were the poor tactics today? Interested to understand what you would have done differently, other than saying something banal like ‘go for the win / 3 points’.

Point was absolutely fine.

Performance was a bit naff, but then Derby were pretty dreadful too.

Two teams who seemed more worried about losing than winning the game today.

The gap to Plymouth is down to 2 points and we are right in the mix.

I’m happy with the point because that was a dreadful performance.

2 shots on target in 90 minutes? We didn’t test Wildsmith enough.

Disappointing, but we’ve gained on Plymouth so with it’s a bad weekend for all 3 of us but worse for Plymouth.

Barnsley win their game in hand and they are 5 behind? The 3 horse race maybe opening up.

bit of an awful game both sides played as bad as each other but this season like many games this season we can scrap wins/draws without playing exciting football . we have become hard to beat but to get top 2 we need to improve in the final 3rd . we could have played till sunday and wouldnt have scored today.  but happy with a draw

Plymouth are probably quite relieved and pleased that after a bad result they're still top and "got away with it" -  the gap only closed by a point with Ipswich conceding late and Wednesday not winning, they could've easily been in third place now.
