elyowl1
No expenditure details , but from those income figures they must be a making an operating loss come the end of the season unless sponsorship deals add significantly more income. Ethel The Tree
Wonder how those figures compare with their games v Burton and Cheltenham When attendance numbers fell below two thousand? They do remarkably well to remain competitive in this division to be fair
Alb1owl
It all comes back to the fact that footballers are paid far far too much. Forget arguments about it being a short career, they aren’t executed at 36 so yeah. They can carry on working at something. 4

Chelsea's almost certainly aren't.

When your industry is as reliant on constant injections of funds from hyper-rich money launderers as football is, it's hard to argue that it's all about market forces. Bulldog
Just looks like someone has written an excel spread sheet with some numbers on. Ticket sale figures don't add up unless the home fans get in for £
Harrysgame
Those figures mean nothing in isolation. Can't imagine the players got much of an increase because they play in Lg1. Would think the TV money etc gives them more each year than ticket sales. Being in LG 1 probably helps them as likes of us, Bolton, Derby, Ipswich take decent numbers.

You seem totally convinced that players are paid too much so please can you tell us what the average salary of a player at Accrington Stanley is. Relative to income yes most players are , when clubs have players salaries from 80% plus of total turnover then you have problems and it’s been going on for years and not just Accrington. Can’t blame the players at any level , it’s the boards who sanction these salaries and pass the buck down the line. everytime a club goes into Admin it’s HMRC and the like who take the hit , players and others clubs get paid out.
