January Transfer Window on the Horizon

Where do you think we should strength or do we even need to?

Me, I'd like see a forward been brought into the fold, even though I have been impressed with forwards overall, they all put in a good shift they have  lacked goals which at the end of the day is what they are here for.

Though I do admit finding one wouldn't be easy.

A permanent Championship level central defender please - then they won't need 'upgrading' when we get promoted.

Other activity could all depend on any further long term injuries, who does / doesn't sign new contracts and if there are any departures...

One little advantage we do have is the availability of loan slots, because we've got (relatively) so few loanees we could (finance allowing) bring a couple in. So a poo hot young LWB on loan would be great.

It probably depends on whether we lose anyone.

Assuming nobody else goes, I'd say a direct replacement for Heneghan is all we really NEED.

I can see the appeal of bringing in a new forward, but morale could then be an issue. So, it could be counterproductive.

A pacey youngster for the future that doesn't mind being used as an impact player in the last 15-20 mins every so often would be good though.

Centre half, left back and right back.

Considering we rarely play with a back 4, not sure full backs will be a necessity in January. Palmer, Hunt, Iorfa and Paterson can all play RWB. Johnson, James , Brown and Mighten for the LWB role. 1 possibly 2 CB's and a striker with some pace is all we really need imo.

I'd be very happy if our January business consisted of getting McGuiness and James signed permanently.

The only area I'd look to bring in additional personnel for is at CB to replace Big Ben, as any further injuries would leave us a bit thin in that department.

Generally I think we're covered all around the pitch, unless we lose someone (like FDB) of course.

Think you are exactly right.
