I'm happy chappie

Recommended Posts

Considering the same team had the long trip to Southampton and the tough match, to go again yesterday and get a result was very good. They now have a week to recover before a home game, and then our reserves will take on Mansfield in the fa cup so another chance to rest for the likes of Bannan coming up before we go into the busy December fixture list. We may see injured players like Famewo return soon too

I really do like the way the team is handling itself at the moment, we're not even in top gear yet and we're getting the results needed, teams above us are dropping points, and we've got a momentum going, long may it continue, could we end us as Champions? Why not

This run of winter fixtures is the decisive point in the season.

One I feel our squad depth will start to come into its own.

Players like Mighten starting to show what they can do also adds to it.

With a bit of luck we have a good run in regards to injuries and come to the end of 2022 with a full squad.

Plus plans to introduce young talent into the fold, there’s a lot to get excited about.

To show our credentials as a team in the automatic spots we need to start picking up some wins in the more difficult games aswell as the ‘easier’ ones. The two next league games are Shrewsbury and then Derby away. I think we’re capable of winning both

we have been very average this season but the difference is we are getting results . anyone who went to port vale ,cambridge ,accy etc etc wont have seen us any better than 6/10 but we are getting results .

i get that the pigs are doing similar too getting results . if you do your jobs correctly in this league with our squad you should like we are getting results.

Last season we would have got 3 points from leading positions against those sort of teams, but we learnt from that, our defending has improved a lot

I'm happy with how it's going up to press.

Anybody think we, intentionally or not, gear up to be just good enough to win each match?

It does seem, like yesterday, we were in a certain gear which good enough to win. We don't seem to need to show we can smash less able teams.

Of course we can over estimate teams and end up winning very easily but the flip side is that if an opposition team performs better than expected we have to scramble a plan "B".

Or maybe I just make it up in my head lol

Average looking performances that are getting the job done with splashes of quality.

Thats how you get out this league and Moore knows that

Absolutely this. Not sure Rotherham were that good on the eye last season but they just got the job done. Scrappy hard fought 1-0 wins like yesterday and at Port Vale and Mk Dons is what gets you automatic promotion.

Is he wrong? We haven't looked fantastic so far this season, but we're picking up wins which is ultimately what's important.

Also, you can argue your point without name-calling. Best not to insult someone's intelligence when your post isn't grammatically correct. See: "most stupidest".

Grammar is a matter of taste.  I didn't insult his intelligence he has never demonstrated that he has any.  Is it possible to be fantastic without looking fantastic?  The data would seem to suggest you can be.
