fudge27
What's gone on with him this season? Legs gone? Head gone? Something else? Was one of our best and most consistent performers last season, hardly featured this. Palmer has been excellent and time catches up with all, but it's been a very sudden drop off that I can't quite fathom
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
He had a virus which hit him really hard, apparently.
jangoSWFC
Yeah, he was quite badly ill
Wing Back
Besides that his legs are gone anyway. I'd be surprised if we saw much more of him tbh. Not got the engine he once had either .
upperwinngardensowl
So him in the Papa Johns earlier this season where he was a bit of a car crash Pity
fudge27
Wasn't aware of the virus, thanks for the info. Shame he's been consistently good for us over 2 spells and leaves a big gap in the squad
WhiteOwl91
Hope he gets back up to speed after the illness he had. Clearly taking some time
NeonLeon
Hadn’t heard about the virus but how he was playing I did suspect something like that. That day against Charlton when it was roasting I think Moore said Bannan went off with heat exhaustion and Hunt went off at a similar time, with what looked like the same. He’s still got the quality but whatever he’s had has clearly hit him quite hard fitness wise.
Rhubarb n Custard
Iorfa is a liability. 2
Barnsleyowl1996
Surprised he didn’t start today as Iorfa at rb / wing back will struggle surely against a decent winger and teams that close down etc .
twolaptops
His brother Mike knows if he can be traced.........we asked our telephonist to ask out over the factory tannoy......"Has anybody seen Mike Hunt "

FlyingOwl
Was really ill and on antibiotics for a while. One of his best qualities was the ability to get up and down the pitch all game long. If his lungs are now knackered I wouldn’t be shocked if he retired. Shame tbh. Good lad & been terrific for us over two spells. Glad he finally got a goal for us last season too as that was definitely a monkey on his back
SiJ
I think his legs were going a bit anyway, and then you combine that with this virus. Shame, as I thought he was by and large excellent last season in that RWB role. Tbf, Palmer has been one of our standout performers of the season and I thought Iorfa looked much more comfortable at RB today (bar an occasional moment). TomtheOwl95
Virus and the form of Palmer really. You can't judge him off the two PJT games as the first was his first game in ages and lets be honest nobody gave a t*ss about that game and the 2nd we were already out so was basically a glorified training session. I still think we'll see him play a part, long long way to go this season. He was doing OK against Morecambe in the Cup before the injury. Said it before in another thread the other day but we do seem to have a habit of writing players off early.
legendaryswan
The recruitment think tank thought he was the best man for the job, despite his erratic form last season, same with Johnson. Both are now where they belong, the sidelines. Nobody thought an upgrade was needed, so nobody is wrong
