Bramhall Owl
Quality goal. Perfectly weighted pass from Waddle and superb finish from Hirst. Both of them made it look so easy......and it probably was for them
Harrysgame
Waddle especially made football look easy, can't think we will ever have such a gifted player again.

theowlsman
David Hirst. STILL the best striker I've ever seen playing for us.

Who’d have thought the best part of 30 years have passed since Hirsty played for us and he’s still the last player to hit 20 goals or more in the second tier for us. We’ve just struggled to find a regular goalscorer during this time.

Just can't see how that could ever possibly change for anyone who saw him at his best. Feel so lucky to have watched Hirsty in the blue and white, but at the same time so disappointed it was cut short by that t**t Bould and sad for all those Owls who have started to watch us after the early 90's. To put it into context for the young n's on here, i along with about 12'000 others turned out one night to watch the Boy Wonder make his long awaited return after injury in a RESERVE game.

Greengrass
The phrase ‘limbs’ (crowd celebrating when goal scored) is used far too often these days. We were stood on the terrace behind the net and when we equalised. Serious limbs.
Kevowls1
Don't think I've ever seen a goal celebrated more than this for Wednesday! I was behind goal, remember jumping up when we scored, the crowd surged forward and my feet didn't touch the ground for about 10 seconds! Madness in away terrace! Superb goal! toppOwl
That was a cracking derby game, possibly one of the best I've seen, two decent sides going at it for 90 odd minutes with no restraint, how a derby should be played. That was a great pass and goal, fantastic, Warhurst's "goal" being disallowed was very harsh, a mate of mine had £800 on the Owls to win (a lot of money back then) he was gutted.
