Certainly not as a bad a player as some make him out to be. I think he’s done ok in the time he’s had on the pitch this season. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if his stock is relatively high come the end of the season?

I would be more surprised if he get another contract with us.

He is an expensive squad player at best - 9 appearances, 1 goal and only 396 minutes played which suggest the manager also does not rate him above others at the club.

Not saying he will. I just think if we get promoted he’ll have played his part so therefore he’ll get due praise from most supporters not you obviously 🤣🤣🤣

Really honest can’t knock him for being peeved off for lack of game time, especially when windass has been pants for the last few weeks. For his and the teams sake i hope he starts tomorrow night and the next few in the league. Really deserved a goal against Burton but wasn’t his day.

I had him as MoM against Burton. He played some excellent passes and was a real handful. He should have been allowed to take the 2nd pen IMO.

It's interesting to hear him talk about his flexibility and the impact it's had on his career. A real jack of all trades master of none kind of player. Talks really well and his commitment is unquestionable. But for me he's a squad member at best but potentially a useful sub to have.

Start him tonight, start him on Wednesday. If he scores a goal or two and puts in good performances then he deserves his shirt in the league at Accy. Wouldn't risk Gregory/Windass from the start tonight to be honest so tonight could be another chance for Paterson and Wilks. Struggle to not like him, he's unconventional and doesn't look like a footballer but i think that's why people warm to him, on Saturday when he told the ref to watch the replay on the scoreboard was golden and you can tell the other players like having him about.

I notice you seem to have an in depth knowledge of the club’s finances.  Are you the chief accountant?

I would expect him, Bannan, Iorfa and Windass to be decent in this league, as they were signed as Championship players, on contracts reflecting that.

To be honest, a relegation and a failure in the play offs, isn't enough evidence on paper to keep any of them, if you are being ultra harsh.

I’ve always thought he was ok. Mind you, unlike most, I always thought Fox and Nuhiu were too.

It's impossible to dislike Paters, he' gives his all and is a character, they're few and far between in modern football.

But when the interview finishes you get youtube suggestions, one of them is the 3-0 Fa Cup game against Arsenal, don't watch it, it makes you sad to realise how close we were and how far we've fallen in such a short time.
