And yet it was a fairly subdued atmosphere and plenty of people still having a moan. Football fans eh... especially when the days of Monk and Pulis are only two years ago.

I know it’s League 1 but we attack teams at home in a way we haven’t done for sometime hence the impressive record when it comes to results and goals scored yet it’s not enough for some.

I refer the honourable gentleman to the thread i started yesterday

Moan under the likes of Stuart Gray when we scored 13 at home in a season, now moaning when we have 22 by November.

I do feel for DM and the players because it seems they can’t win with some sections of the fanbase.

For those sort of fans, the argument will switch and the *logic* is shall we say fluid.

A win is a win and we are third, and got a few points back on Ipswich.

Much to improve on and still a few things that frustrate me about the manager/team, but we ain't doing too bad atm.

But at least the football was exciting under Gray.

Oh, wait a minute.....

I be happy to be lowest scoring if it meant we had won every game.

we have scored 22 goals but also conceded 11 goals in 9 games. 13th best home defence in league.

away from home 2nd best defence in the league, that Joe Wildsmith is in the best defence.

Best not to read too much into stats

The only stat that matters is the ones that have a P or an R next to the clubs name at the end of the season

Matters to who?

Personally I watch football for entertainment and I like watching attacking football and goals.

Of course we all want to play at the highest level possible but give me DM football in league 1 above Pulisball in the championship every day of the week.

I think the fan base is just a bit apathetic after years and years of underperforming.

The team this year are good, arguably better than 2011/12. No proper rivals in the league, no exciting big teams expect us and maybe Derby.

Dull year this year in my opinion and it shows.

We've underperformed at home for years. Everyone said Hillsborough was hard to play at, home and away alike.

Maybe the players like the new peace and quiet during the match and the performances reflect that.

It’s linked to budget really. The seasons we’ve had the higher budgets we’ve had very strong home records.

Yeah, but it'd be cool to have a stadium that's silent, like the crucible.

Ref stops play if someone on the kop coughs.

Absolute silence, with mild clapping allowed if the ball is out of play, maybe a light 'yay' if we score.

2400 people tutting when Windass hits row z.

It'd be unique anyway.

This can't be right.

Lads with England flags in their Twitter handles keep telling me how boring the football is.
