Week in week out we read articles and reports that the support we give the team especially away from Hillsborough is exceptional for League 1 and yes it is without doubt we have some of the best supporters outside the Premier League. But I can’t help feeling that all the effort and the cost of traveling to places like Peterborough on a Tuesday night is not fully appreciated by the management of Sheffield Wednesday. We travel miles to see our talented squad play attacking fearless football and cause our opposition problems from the kickoff but repeatedly the team selection and playing style just infuriates the fans. Yes he’s a nice bloke but his failure to learn from his mistakes is beginning to make some fans question if we will ever get out of this league under his management.

As a lifelong supporter I want to see the team set up to attack and that doesn’t include having 5 players at the back so come on Darren recognize that you have one of the best squads on the division and your defensive tactics are now starting to wear just a bit thin

We attack and score loads.

True

Thats one night though

We are an attacking side with an attacking manager

Which is all well and goid, but if you can't defend keep conceding the way we do, the attacking threat is irrelevant mate.

Goal scoring has never been a problem under this manager

Not accurate at all mate, our goal stats were dire at the start of last season, and were comparable to relegation battle teams....YES overall it improved massively with  change to 352 instead of DM preference early season of a lone striker,a role Gregory wasnt suited to..

I’d say that one goal from open play in the last three league games, means we currently are having problems scoring goals under this manager though Neil.

Credit to Moore for changing the system

You can’t just arbitrarily leave out the one game where we scored 3 goals

This is like when we conceded 3 and people started to include pre-season games in the results

Bending poo to suit their own points.

Letting fans make decisions regarding the team and club is like asking a family member to perform surgery on a patient. We care too much and know too little, we'd do only what we feel because we don't know enough, a recipe for frustration at best.

Ive Seen 2 people now exclude the first game when it comes to goals scored from open play

Bit like when you couldn’t move for people talking about conceding 7 goals in 2 games after the 1st game of the season

We were lucky in that Portsmouth game.

Pompey were the better team.

Fizz's wonder goals got us out of jail.

We scraped it against MK and Charlton had us chasing shadows but they were inept up front.

Think so far this season the stats show that we have just 3.5 attempts on goal per game.

That's not getting anyone excited.

We all thought we'd start the season where we left off last time where we were pretty much an attacking relentless unit.

Our approach so far this season is boring and unconvincing with hardly any pressure on the opposition's goal to get the fans excited.

Let's hope we get our mojo back soon before the top two places run away and out of view.

I get that we're scoring, which is good, but we're also useless at defending. After four games we've scored 5 and let 5 in, our GD is the same as those league 1 titans Fleetwood and Shrewsbury after the same amount the games.

At best, we've been lucky to pick up points and will probably be lucky to scrape the playoffs again. I'm not sure where you lot have got this HMS PTL idea from... But then half the punters on here seem to think we should be playing our division three games in a brand new 100,000 seater megadome built on Hillsborough park so I always take OT opinions with a pinch of salt.
