Agree. It's great to see him back and it was a terrific display but you have to factor in his long absence and ongoing management  of his knee problem. Also it should be said that the the quality of the Sunderland shadow squad was pretty poor and seemingly lacking in commitment. 

What is encouraging  about him and FDB is that they both offer strong running and athleticism which could well be very useful when teams tactically get to grips with our 'Plan A' midfield and wing backs, as a few of did later on last season.
