That first goal had the Cruff Turn in it.

If you’re a a bit young, Google the Cruff Turn.

In all honesty, it's difficult to see a good replay of his two changes of direction before the shot.

He appears to move to the right with the outside of his right foot, and then to the left (this is when the replay is poor) with the inside of his right.

However he just appears to turn his body sharply to his left, and (I think) go across his body in front of his left foot, before the shot.

Cryuff turns are with the inside off the foot, passing the ball BETWEEN the feet.

Hands up all of you who were looking for the next PASS - not the rocket into the net.✋

To score from there in top corner on his weaker foot was something really special. Having a two footed player with high energy and capable of scoring goals like that?

He definately showed he's back to form and fitness. No reason why he can't force his way back into the team. Great to see as I've always liked his attitude and high energy style.

Grammar Police warning!

Are we talking the player or the dog show here, because Cruff is neither!

It's Cruyff or Crufts FFS!

Surely he has to start the next game if only to give the right message to the squad.
Get a chance. Take your chance. Stay in the team.

In principle that’s spot on. Such a performance deserves a start v Charlton. But given he is just back from a year lay-off it’s better to ease him in.

Bannan averaged 86.5 minutes per game over our 48 L1 matches last season. Quite extraordinary.

A year older and with strong competition for places I do agree it gives Moore the luxury of being able to nurse our soon-to-be 33 year old genius through the season  a little better.

That said, nobody should underestimate the influence he will have on our season. He’s our best player by a country mile until someone wrestles that mantle off him.

What even is a country mile?
