I mean to say , it would have been nice to have gotten to the end of the first month without the curse striking. I know it's the Wednesday way, but bugger me. Of course I don't know why I'm surprised. After all it was only the summer before last that we signed a defender with a broken leg... The injuries at this club. Sometimes you know, I sit on the balcony of an evening and when it's still, and quiet, if I listen very carefully, I can still hear the faint sound of Almen Abdi laughing his head off. This with Smith , barely missed a game in the past 3 years. Comes here and lo and behold -injured! Bad luck? How much can one club have. And the other cove, the Welsh one. I couldn't tell you what he looks like. What's up with him? Adeniran back in training. Leg strapped up. It's like emergency ward ten in there and we've barely kicked a ball yet. Barely headed one either going on last weeks performance! Three headers last week, man alive the pain of watching those goals sail in. It doesn't get any easier for the Dons either, with Sheffield Wednesday, a side they've not beaten in eight previous League One meetings, the first side to visit Stadium MK this season. But Darren Moore's side were far from convincing defensively in their league opener and needed a Fisayo Dele-Bashiru brace to rescue a point in a thriller with Portsmouth at Hillsborough. The Owls have an impressive record against MK Dons and won 3-2 here on their last trip back in April, which included a memorable long-range strike from Barry Bannan. A promotion side should have enough for at least a draw, but it is a worry that neither Paterson nor Windass hold the ball up well so our midfield will have a huge workload today.
