fpowl
Last few tournaments have seen more ladies take up the sport. It’s growing from grass roots upwards even we have re-introduced our ladies team the media coverage especially in tournaments has taken huge steps over the last decade and make no illusions what this achievement will do to empower and encourage further women to take up the sport and rightly so 90,000 and sell out stadiums shows the interest in the game at the top level what needs to happen now is more games to be broadcasted to raise the domestic profile and get that tv revenue into the game so these women can challenge the gap in the finances between the mens game and women can the FA give more funding so every professional team can have a womens team and reach out locally? can a broadcaster even if not sky have a dedicated program where it’s on mainstream, could televised games be included in I follow packages? so many women have been inspired to play over last 10 years and this will have done wonders for inspiring more it’s a great day for women, the sport and equality today. We should all be proud of what they’ve achieved today 3
