swfcAH
It's tidy looking but doesn't have the sense of size Hillsborough has, their "kop" is a joke compared to ours

Bramall Lane on the inside has obviously benefited from having the corners filed in and what not. The Rotherham stadium is sh*te. You make them sound like they're the Allianz arena or something.

Alb1owl
Ha I didn’t realise it was the stain, walked past the telly at half time and thought “not a very big ground for a semi”

From the inside/ on TV at least.
Guest Wonky Owl
Gi' or wi thi sen. Everyone knows 'The Old Lady' is better and more famous worldwide. Fact. I remember City playing at Hillsborough in the cup a few years ago when we somehow managed to hang on for a 1-0 robbery. Atmosphere was class that night, never forget it, sell out crowd an all. Get dem corners filled in Chansiri cos lets face it you guys need the extra capacity. From a Manchester City fan.

SimonJ
Is it just me, but when I see their “strap line” forged in steel, I have to mutter “covered in sh*te” - EVERY TIME I SEE IT!!! 1

Ever the pessimist
We all know Hillsborough is in need of modernisation, but some on here are like blades who go on as if BL is the new Spurs’ stadium. I was shocked when I had to go down Shoreham street recently, expecting to see a gleaming citadel but met with what looked like a scaffold covered in pink cladding. I know from numerous experiences that the BL end is a dump too. 2

Binky Griptite
Having been four times in the last fortnight i can confirm the ground is indeed a bit of a dump. Kop v Kop... No contest, both showing their age but Hillsborough far better if only due to size... Facilities are equally poor on both. North v 'North' (no idea if their 'North' is in fact North but it's to the right of the Kop so that's good enough for me...)... Theirs has far more concourse but that's where it ends in terms of things in their favour, other than that it's again smaller (i think... Certainly feels smaller, probably due to housing corporate boxes...) South v 'South'... Again no contest... Probably the best of their stands in terms of scale but nothing compared to our South. Away End... Yes, theirs is better but neither is worth writing home about... Theirs is average, ours is poor... Like two tramps fighting over a bag of crisps. Exterior... Theirs is one of the dullest looking stadiums you could ever see and the Kop looks absolutely laughable... Ours doesn't look great but it has character, they've cladded all the character out of theirs. Where they take the advantage is in the ability to use all of the seats (or at least a far larger number)... It felt truly full last night and as mentioned by the OP it looked great as a result.
