Jesse Lingard moves to Forest

Recommended Posts

As per the title has been bought by Forest. Said on the radio that he's rumoured to be on £200k a week which again is rumoured to have not gone down well with some players

I don’t believe they’d pay anywhere near that

Maybe but don't think he'd go there for much less. He was probably on a wedge at Man U.

Forest have pretty much bought a full team.

Suppose their options were either do that or "do a Norwich" and buy no one and guarantee relegation again.

Good signing for Forest IMHO - surprised West Ham didn’t snap him up,

They wasn't willing to meet his demands.

Disagree.

They've done very much the Fulham method hear.

I think buying 5 or 6 is a better balance and let's the squad who got you up earn their chance.

And the top heavy wages to Lingard upsetting the dressing room could be a huge error

As I said in the Premier League I think on the whole Forest have recruited well over the summer, this Lingard signing seems a bit of a gamble and one to get some media hype if his wages are as high as have been rumoured.

Fair point. I'd thought they'd spent fairly well til this point. Is it that big of a signing for them?

Saying that how many of the players who got them promoted were on loan?

Spence, Garner, Zinkernagle, Davis, Lowe.
They needed to bring in plenty anyway.
