The problem he had at Hillsborough was when he played in the first team after those first 2 seasons under Carlos, he was playing behind a progressively more rubbish back line every time he played it seemed and his confidence was shot. Once he got his confidence back however, he was always a decent keeper and he’s showing that now. All of the above I think also applies to Cameron Dawson who I actually think is better than Wildsmith and more than good enough to be playing for us in goal. Not consistent at all for us which is why he never got a decent run. Seems to have finally found that consistency. Could say the same for Dawson really as he only found consistency down at Exeter.
