Seems to be a bit of a forgotten man

It was a shame he was out for much of last season

I only saw him in stages, but I remember the player he can be when he played against us

I can see him stepping up this year and becoming a real asset.

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

He looked a good player when he did play but went off the boil a bit before he got injured.

For me now, I’d say Bannan, Vaulkes, Byers and FDB are all ahead of him in the pecking order for a midfield spot. He’s going to have to work hard to get his spot in the team back.

Started off electric then went slightly quiet abs didn’t really effect the games as much to be fair it coincided with our massive u-turn in team perfidy I’m not trying to single him out here

I’m not sure what his best role is or what kind of player he is. He seems to like to get the ball and stretched teams by running at them

and getting into the box

maybe he’s better suited out wide, he put in sone decent performances out wide when he filled in there

How does he fit in CM?

what kind of player is he?

Could he be a right wing back or right winger? It didn’t feel comfortable writing that to be honest

Much depends on who imoresses in pre-season. Agree, he did go off the boil a bit before his injury after impressing early doors but he's definitely got something about him.

Wasn't he carrying his injury for a quite a while before he was 'officially' injured.

Think that explains his downturn in form. If he can get properly fit I reckon he will have a big part to play this season.

Some forget that he scored 3 goals in the short time he was in the team and 2 of them were penalty box finishes which suggests he can go box to box. I think we’ll be waxing lyrical about him by the end of next season.

Was fantastic at the start of last season, then lost his form and looked quite poor. Got injured after that and didn't get to play again.

In my opinion Byers is twice the player and Adeniran got lot to do to prove that He is good enough for Sheffield Wednesday.

Spot on, he really isn't good enough. OK as a back up I suppose.

That did cross my mind but wasn't 100% certain.  Agree, I like Dennis too.

Incidentally, and I may be wrong here,  but didn't he fulfil a midfield holding role whilst on loan at Wickham before joining us? Could be handy with Luongo leaving although his energy further forward is also a terrific asset.

As someone else said there were rumours that he was carrying an injury for quite some time before finally having to succumb to surgery. Hes a different type of player to Byers.

He looked very good early doors and I reckon his energy would have been really handy in the playoff games when Sunderland looked far more energetic and athletic.

He's definitely got something about him. Great energy and as you say, got an eye for goal.

Looked like a physical box to box type player. Is a good option to have. More well rounded the Fizz, who is superb at carrying the ball, but maybe not as good at seeing a pass.

Agreed. Re. FDB though, he's  a couple of years younger so a bit of learning time yet.

Every body on here was raving about him at the beginning of last season but I thought he was a bit of a headless chicken at times

One prominent poster even declaring he was better than Bannan

lol

He’s absolutely unbelievable much better than Bannan l. Sheffield Wednesday are fortunate to have him 👀
