Cameron Dawson In Sheffield Wednesday Plans?

Recommended Posts

Wildsmith has not signed so with Stockdale in then we only have 2 keepers...   If Dawson was to stay then why give Wildsmith a contract?  it could be that we will wait till we tie up Wildsmith, or if we don't then Dawson could be used as no2.   I don't think Stockdale would have come here instead of Wycombe to be No2 so you have to assume he will be first choice...  So if Wildsmith signs I expect Dawson to go out on loan, if he doesn't then expect him to be No2.

I think a loan back to Exeter would be good for Dawson, with a recall clause incase he does too well lol..

I'd imagine that Stockdale like any player will expect to compete for his place be it with Dawson or any other.

Would have thought signing the keeper that kept the most clean sheets in this league last season would mean him coming in as number one. Be very surprised if Stockdale doesn’t start as number one although I can’t imagine Dawson would want to stay and be the number 2.

I’d have been happy with Dawson as number 1 this season.

Had an excellent season in L2 last season and nowhere near as bad as some on here would have you believe.

Stockdale will be first choice..if not why leave Wycombe. ?

Apparently we've rejected loan offers for Dawson from Scottish Premiership clubs. I'm guessing we will probably sell rather than loan him out again. Unless Wildsmith doesn't sign a new deal then maybe he will stay?

At the moment we only have 2 keepers, Dawson is contracted till 2024, so another 2 years...  I think we will be looking to either sell him on now, or loan him out to a league one club to continue his development.

Suppose he has to say that though. Anything else would just look unprofessional

But he as said it. Cant go throwing dummy out now if Dawson gets the nod over him. I dont think that will happen as its the Wednesday way to ensure most players who sign are not on anything but a decent salary. DC as an habit of throwing decent wages about hence the financial difficulties we have had to endure.

I mean he can say anything he wants in private within the workplace, i.e. with Darren Moore.

What he says to us in the public is one thing and thats another.
