Popular Post SWLFC
Sheffield Wednesday Ladies Football Club (SWLFC) is SWFC's official female representative club at both junior and senior levels. With teams all the way from U9s through to open age (seniors), we provide an opportunity for hundreds of female players to enjoy playing football and benefiting from the social positives that sport can bring. As a volunteer-run and self-sufficient set up based in Sheffield, the club's teams compete in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Girls & Women's County Leagues. One of the club's aims at present is to try and raise the awareness of SWFC fans about SWLFC, what we do and what the club is trying to achieve going forward. The new season, 2022/23, just began from an admin perspective and we'll be using the summer months to get our new squads together ready for our first games in August and September. We'll drop news, results and info into this thread as the season goes on, and we've got some big plans for how we can push SWLFC forward in the coming months. For now, if you want to show your support then a like or follow on our social media channels would be huge as we look to increase our reach and impact on all three platforms: Twitter --> https://twitter.com/ShefWedLadies Facebook --> https://www.facebook.com/SheffWedLadies Instagram --> https://www.instagram.com/swlfc_/ We currently uses the hashtags #OneTeam, #WAWAW and #ProudToBeOwls. We love being part of SWFC and we want to see the club go from strength to strength, no matter which team is playing in the blue and white stripes we all support. 32 12

We are affiliated to the club as the official female representatives of SWFC at both junior and senior levels, and as such we use the club name, badge, kit etc. 1

We're volunteer-run and self-sufficient so we sort our own funding, SWFC is generous with their time and expertise when needed and help us out off the pitch which we're always grateful for. The social media exposure SWFC provide is great and being able to tap into the brand is massive. Things like providing a spot in each match day programme also helps keep SWLFC in the public eye for fans. Plus the links to the main club, an example being with someone like Mark Smith coming on board as mentioned yesterday, those links are brilliant for us.
