The EFL showing themselves to be utterly useless here, more interested in covering their own a*$es than doing the right thing.

Reading that, Derby arnt going to be ready for the new season.

And every day that passes without an owner, makes that more likely. Not a good position to be in.

Its going to be very interesting to see what the EFL dose here. Especially when you take into account there actions with Bury/Macclesfield.

I know it's off topic, but I find Daily Mail articles almost always hard to read.   You read the same sentences three or four times before you are even half way through the article, as if they are just stuffing words in to make up a quota.

That article shows the EFL aren't fit for purpose...

The EFL are far from blameless, but the chief culprit is the Administrator. They are the people that gave exclusivity to someone with a chequered past: didn’t he get told to sod off for lack of funds when trying to buy Preston recently?

The season starts in about 8 weeks. Surely it has to be sorted before then? Probably not.

Yes, you would certainly think so.

At the moment Derby apparently only have 5 first team players under contract.

It also appears to be unclear if, and by whom, June wages will be paid.

There’s probably a lot going on behind the scenes that isn’t in the public domain, but, on the face of it, things don’t look good at all for them.

Aren’t they in the same boat as us with regards to having a suspended points deduction handing over them for non payment of wages?

If so then non payment or late payment in June would result in them starting next season on minus points.

Or sooner, fixtures released on Thursday.

The next important deadline is payday at the end of the month, not ideal as fixtures already released before then which implies Derby will be included.

They had to rely on Kirchner paying/borrowing to pay wages last month.

Not sure there is much left for the administrators to leverage and borrow against, to pay the bills.

If I were the rest of the EFL clubs would want cast iron guarantees and proof of funds for the whole season before including them in the forthcoming fixtures.

Any of the 5 worth putting a cheeky bid in for??
