The fact his teammate (Kane) got a nomination rules out him playing for Spurs as a reason. Also - Kane is the only English bloke on the list, so it sort of rules out that sort of theory. Son scored 7 in the last 7 games I think, probably after most votes had been cast. With the PFA awards it's always a big advantage to have had a great first half of the season, which is why Salah is the bookies favourite this year, instead of Kevin De Bruyne.
